Ashley Keenan, a South Miami native, is the creative mind behind BASE Hair & Skin. Having worked in large, high-volume salons in Los Angeles and Miami, Keenan decided she wanted to offer a more intimate and inviting experience for her guests.
Having started her career at Prive Salon (now IGK Miami) on South Beach she fell in love with their French haircutting approach and eventually moved to LA to focus on blonde hair coloring techniques. After several years on the west coast she moved back to Miami where she began working for Junior & Hatter in Wynwood.
After several years with them she set out to open a boutique space that focused more on the experience rather than the volume of clientele. Her love for natural, low-maintenance haircolor has made her a highly sought after color specialist.
Having trained under renowned celebrity stylist, Laurent D at Prive’ Salon, Papa has proven to have a distinct esthetic focusing on clean, sharp lines. Known for her short haircuts and classic haircutting techniques she has amassed a loyal clientele following.
While working in both Prive’s Miami and New York salons she developed strong classic cutting techniques and a keen eye for detail. With over a decade of experience she has shown that classic design techniques are timeless.
Growing up with a passion for all things hair, Ashley moved from Ohio to South Beach to develop her passion. After a decade of working at top Miami salons such as Couiffe Femme at the Ritz Carlton, she has developed a strong personal style that has her guests falling back in love with their hair. She is best known by her clients for her beautiful, natural babylight blondes and soft layered haircuts.
After working at the spa at the SLS Miami hotel, Melissa wanted to refocus her clientele to build longer lasting relationships with her guests. Melissa’s passion about healthy skin and anti-aging has driven her to receive advanced training from PCASkin, Oncology Training International, Biologique and Eminence Organic. As someone who struggled with hormonal acne as a teen, she is passionate about great skin and it’s power to boost people’s confidence.
Training with top medical grade skincare lines like Biologique Recherche, PCASkin and Ayurvedic techniques in Indonesia have equipped her to not only help treat your skin but to also pass on the knowledge to you.
